Job Description:
- Assigned product ownership for management of Request for Quotation (RFQ) with S&M (Sales & Marketing) and Ops towards customer requirements;
- Ensure timely closure of RFQ with tracking via Turn Around Time (TAT) reporting;
- Ensure and drive First Article Test (FAT), First Lot Production (FLP) and First Article Inspection (FAI) execution to meet all requirements with customer;
- Assigned product ownership of Bill of Materials (BOM) & Routing setup, ensure accuracy and TAT is met;
- Drive assigned product performance improvements through yield improvement, scrap reduction, On Time Delivery (OTD);
- To provide and manage assigned product concessions and product compliance with S&M and customer;
- Ownership of assigned product related packaging, raw material, tooling, and fixtures management;
- Key interface to customer for product related matters;
- Identify and lead continuous improvement projects on assigned product such as costs, cycle time reduction and consumables spent reduction using Six Sigma and LEAN tools (e.g.: SPC, PFMEA, PCP, RCA, etc);
- To participate in weekly FAT, yield, scrap and OTD status review with stakeholders to ensure goals are met.
Job Requirements:
- Master or Bachelor's degree in Optics/Mechanical/Precision Engineering or equivalent experience;
- Minimum 6 years of hands-on experience with Flatwork, Edging and Cementing processes;
- Well versed with Flatwork process design for Prism and Window components;
- Hands on experience with Optical testing and metrology;
- Well versed in AutoCAD or SolidWorks;
- Good in designing jigs and fixtures;
- Experience across all phases of a product from design to prototype to mass production;
- Prior RFQ and SAP experience would be added advantage.
