What this Job Entails:
The Inventory Analyst II (3PL / VAR) is a cornerstone in our Global Inventory Management team. In this role, you won’t just be managing tasks, but also steering the functional direction of inventory strategies. You will be deeply involved in shaping our collaborations with 3PL partners and VARs, pioneering upstream supply chain optimizations, and implementing robust inventory frameworks that cater to the global demands of our operations.
Your Roles and Responsibilities:
- 3PL & VAR Engagement: Forge and sustain strategic partnerships with 3PLs like UPS/DHL and VARs (Zones, Connections, Denali, QIS etc), optimizing inventory dynamics upstream in the supply chain.
- Resolve System Issues: Deep dive & resolve EDI, inventory discrepancies and any other system issues proactively, minimizing impact on stocks and consequently service to end-users.
- Supplier Performance: Design & implement KPIs & metrics to measure and report 3PL & VAR Performance. Implement daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly routine for reviews together with vendor parties.
- Communication: Respond to open tickets and provide support to end-users & team members internally on inventory-related queries.
- Inventory Strategy: Delve into intricate inventory challenges, crafting solutions to address stock imbalances, demand surges, and inventory turnover.
- Problem Solving: Identify and address any stock shortages, overages, overstocks or other discrepancies. Monitor inventory levels and analyze stock movements to identify trends and patterns.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate intensively with cross-functional teams, 3PLs, and VARs to synchronize supply chain efforts and optimize inventory flows from end to end.
- Predictive Forecasting: Utilize demand planning techniques to pre-empt stock needs, minimizing stockouts, wastage, and inventory holding overheads.
- Strategic Formulation: Develop and iterate on inventory management strategies that reflect the network specific for assigned regions optimizing for user experience whilst holding efficient stock levels.
- Reporting & Deep Insights: Provide comprehensive and nuanced reports to upper management, presenting a clear picture of inventory performance, challenges, and potential areas of improvement.
- Vendor Relationship Management (VRM): Engage actively in discussions and negotiations with vendors and suppliers, ensuring punctual deliveries and cost-effective sourcing.
- Regulatory Adherence: Uphold and promote adherence to international trade and inventory regulations, ensuring a compliant and seamless supply chain.
Required Qualifications/Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree (B.S/B.A) in the area of Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Management or related degree
- Minimum 2 years of experience in inventory management, preferably within a multinational company or in the technology industry
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and draw actionable insights
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across different time zones and with various stakeholders, including suppliers, logistics partners, and internal teams
- Follows standard practice and procedures when analyzing situations or data
- Strong organization skills and ability to adapt to a rapidly changing work environment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks and priorities, while maintaining a strong attention to detail and adhering to deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
Proficiency in SAP and/or Integrated Business Planning (IBP) systems, with hands-on experience in inventory management modules
