Job Description
- Actively engage with BU (Product Marketing, Design Engineering, Special Products & Refurbishment teams) during the concept (ERS, HLD / LLD), alpha and beta phases in Product Life Cycle (PLC) to influence DFM concepts to reduce labour cost and material cost to meet the product cost targets at different phases
- Lead the Global Operations team (Manufacturing Engineering, Global Procurement, Manufacturing and their support functions) with emphasis on cost reduction, cycle time & lead time reduction, material flow, quality improvements, and efficient manufacturing methods & processes
- Ability to strategize goals and objectives to meet the BU targets and should be able to prepare / participate, present and engage in the BU and TG reviews
- Partner with other Global Operations (GOPS) teams, such as HVM ME, NPI PM, NPI Materials, etc. with emphasis on Product module level and system level testing, cycle time reduction, quality improvements, and efficient test methods & processes
- Define, develop and validate new product test and inspection documentation (i.e. test plan, test procedures, inspection checklists, etc.) for multiple complex modules and system level during, drive continuous improvement in testing process for labor hour and cycle time reduction
- Manage tooling and test equipment requirements. Innovation in implementing tooling and test equipment to manufacturing efficiency and customer quality
- Drive implementation and compliance of Manufacturing Readiness Reviews (MRRs) as part of the PLC process
- Use the Product Transfer Readiness Review (PTRR) to transfer the product from beta to High Volume Manufacturing (HVM) by meeting all the toll gate (TG) requirements in the PLC process and PTRR requirements
- Interaction with Mechanical, Electrical, Controls, Software and GPS teams to become the system level expert on new products being developed
- Constantly engage Field support and BUs to build the capability of the Engineering team and process knowledge of ASM equipment, provided technical support and training to internal manufacturing and supplier resources as needed
Prerequisites
- Minimum 5 years of experience working in a manufacturing or engineering environment with technical experience on manufacturing and production activities.
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering.
- Experience within the Semiconductor/ Capital Equipment industry in Manufacturing or Factory Automation engineering roles
- Knowledge and experience in SECS/GEM standard and GEM300 software development
- Experience in developing software solutions using CIMControlFramework is a plus
- Prior experience in testing automation, modular testing, digital transformation, data mining and data analytics.
- Knowledge of PLC processes, Engineering Change workflows, and Change Control requirements
- Experience in working and interfacing with cross functional teams. Demonstrated ability to influence cross functional organization and drive changes.
- Experience in managing multiple projects using project management skills and tools
- Familiar with the following operational excellence tools but not limited to: Lean Manufacturing, FMEA, 8D, PDCA, DMAIC, 6-sigma, Cpk, GR&R and SPC.
- Experience in application development with advanced programing skills and/or tools such as Python, .NET, React, etc.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with proven track record to drive changes and implement changes to benefit the organization.
