Job Summary:
SmartRx is a young and vibrant company offering novel solutions in the pharmacy automation sector. As a Senior Electrical Engineer specializing in the development and support of machines for dispensing medication, you will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and maintaining advanced dispensing systems that ensure safety, reliability, and user satisfaction. Your role will involve creating innovative electrical designs, overseeing system integration, and providing ongoing support for deployed machines to ensure optimal performance at customer sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and engineering of electrical systems for automated pharmacy machines, including power management, control circuitry, and user interface integration.
- Oversee the integration of hardware components, such as sensors, actuators, and communication modules, ensuring seamless interaction with software and mechanical systems.
- Develop and test prototypes to validate designs, troubleshoot issues, and refine systems based on performance and user feedback.
- Ensure all designs adhere to relevant electrical safety standards and regulatory compliance (e.g., IEC, CE)
- Generate design documentation. Eg. Schematics, cable assembly drawing, BOM, wiring instruction.
- Perform internal testing, factory acceptance test (FAT) and site acceptance test (SAT) with customer/end user.
- Provide ongoing support for machines deployed at customer sites, including troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance to ensure uninterrupted operation and customer satisfaction.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, with at least 3 years working experience.
- Proven experience in designing electrical systems for complex devices or machines.
- Strong knowledge of circuit design, control systems, and embedded systems.
- Strong diagnostic skills and capable of resolving electrical noise, grounding, and signal integrity issues.
- Experience with on-site maintenance and support for deployed systems, including troubleshooting and repair.
- Able to communicate well in multi-languages.
