R&D Mechanical Manager
Role
Design, develop, FACA, and troubleshoot embedded firmware for camera module, LED light controller, networking, Wi-Fi/ Zigbee/ Bluetooth/ KNX RF wireless and IoT products
New Project development from RFI/RFQ, NPI, to MP
Integrate new functionalities to existing firmware for performance enhancement
Work closely with R&D Hardware team for the Hardware/Firmware integration and testing
Provide technical support/solution to sales team, manufacturing and customers
Mechanical Engineering team management and cooperate with cross function team
Requirements
- Bachelor in Mechanical Design Engineering, Computer Science or relevant discipline
- 5+ years of experience working with machine vision, 2D/3D camera module, embedded Linux drivers, kernel builds, etc
- Familiar with the design, development, and manufacturing of camera module/LED controller
- In-depth experience in Linux and embedded firmware development especially in networking, Wi-Fi / Zigbee / Bluetooth / KNX RF wireless, IoT or LED Lighting products
- Experience with Broadcom, Qualcomm, MTK and Sigma networking product SDK will be a strong advantage
- Hands-on experience with developed camera module, UART, SPI and I2C drivers
- Hands-on skills of TCP/IP, USB, BLE, Modem, Wi-Fi and Serial communications experience and developed low powered embedded systems
- Excellent in Pro-E/AutoCAD/SolidWorks, strong analytical and leadership skills
- Good at Tolerance Analysis/FACA for camera module, Wi-Fi, Zigbee, and Bluetooth
- Organized, meticulous and a team player who is self-motivated and dynamic
- Strong experience in Mechanical Engineering team management/leading/training and patent application
- Ability to work closely with teams from hardware/firmware, sales and factory
