Reporting to Assistant Manager, Production, this position will coordinate and optimise the production schedule to ensure efficient manufacturing process and production targets are carried out on schedule and within budget. This role will also provide instructions and support for packaging process to ensure smooth and efficient production process and manage rationalisation procedures to enhance production plant competitiveness.
Responsibilities
- Support production planning and ensure production efficiency by preparing and updating monthly and daily production plans and consumption plan for raw materials
- Support packaging activities by monitoring packaging operating condition and coordinating with in-house contractors to troubleshoot issues when required
- Manage and coordinate packaging related trials to improve operations and ensure supplier continuity
- Ensure safe work environment by identifying potential unsafe situations and/or acts in the production plant area
- Lead and participate in Risk Assessment activities and ensure proper procedure and documentation related to Risk Assessment are maintained up-to-date
- Improve plant operations through digitalisation by managing and maintaining the related system and proposing new digital transformation initiatives
- Ensure proper waste management to optimize waste disposal collection in order to minimise impact to the environment
- Maintain proper documentation control according to Integrated Management System (IMS) requirements, participate in IMS audits and ensure relevant Standard Operating Procedures are updated promptly
- Attend daily morning meetings, conduct monthly performance meetings and coordinate production planning and schedule activities with other departments
- Support other duties such as root cause analysis and investigation on plant trouble, incident reporting, shutdown maintenance activities, raw materials planning, etc
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering discipline with 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in petrochemical/polymer plant preferred
- Entry level candidate without experience can be considered
- Knowledge in HAZOP, DCS System and Risk Assessment will be advantageous
- Self-driven, independent and resourceful
- Possess good communication, presentation and analytical thinking skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Able to perform overtime work when required
- Willing to work on Jurong Island
