Supply & Demand Planner (Beauty Products)
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and analytical Supply & Demand Planner to join our Group Operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring product availability, and aligning supply with customer demand. Your expertise will contribute to our company's ability to meet customer needs efficiently and maintain a competitive edge in the market.
Key Responsibilities:
- Demand Forecasting and Analysis:Utilize historical data, market trends, and input from cross-functional teams to develop accurate demand forecasts for beauty products.
Monitor and analyse demand patterns, adjusting as necessary to respond to changes in customer preferences and market dynamics.
Collaborate with Sales and Marketing teams to gather relevant information that impacts demand forecasts.
- Supply Planning: Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure timely production and delivery of beauty products in line with demand forecasts.
Anticipate potential supply chain disruptions and develop contingency plans to minimize their impact on product availability.
- Cross-functional Collaboration:Liaise with various departments such as Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Operations to gather insights and align on demand and supply planning strategies.
Participate in regular meetings to share forecasts, inventory status, and supply chain updates with key stakeholders.
- Performance Tracking and Reporting: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to demand forecasting accuracy, inventory turnover, and customer service levels.
Generate regular reports and presentations to communicate performance metrics to management and propose improvements.
- Continuous Improvement:Identify opportunities to enhance forecasting accuracy, supply chain efficiency, and overall process effectiveness.
Implement best practices and innovative techniques to optimize supply and demand planning processes.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Economics, or related field. Master's degree is a plus.
- Proven experience (3 years) in supply and demand planning, preferably within the beauty products or consumer goods industry.
- Proficiency in using various software and analytical tools such as MS Excel, Microsoft BC, IWMS
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, trends, and market dynamics.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of supply chain concepts, inventory management principles, and production planning.
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to anticipate and address potential supply chain challenges.
- Adaptability to changing market conditions and willingness to embrace continuous learning.
