Reporting to the Country Finance Manager, this role will play a key role in managing full spectrum of accounting, reporting and busi-ness analysis in Singapore. The General Ledger (GL) Accountant is responsible for general ledger and management reporting and is expected to cover for the Country Finance Manager in her absence. Other duties include supervising the work of the other account staffs, managing day to day accounting function, reviewing & coordinating month-end closing and ensure completeness, accuracy and timely submission of financial report, tax reporting and audit reporting. Additionally, you will drive continuous process improvement and ad-hoc projects such as new system implementation.
Primary duties and responsibilities
- Perform GL month-end closing and posting of journals such as provisions, accruals, deferrals, reclassifications.
- Work closely with other team members to ensure all financials are reported correctly and on time.
- Prepare monthly reporting, cash forecast and group reporting.
- Prepare monthly Balance Sheet reconciliation and investigate any unusual item.
- Ensure compliance to company policies and maintain strong internal controls.
- Prepare audit schedules and manage the entire audit process.
- Finalization of Financial Reports and ensure all statutory reporting are comply with, including statistical surveys.
- Tax compliance - GST, Withholding Tax, Corporate Tax, Transfer Pricing.
- Prepare corporate tax information for tax agent to complete tax computation and filing.
- Perform variance analysis and manage costs accruals/ provisions.
- Work closely with FP&A team to assist in budgeting, forecasting and analysis.
- Calculation of sales incentive and submit to HR for payroll submission.
- Liaise with auditors, tax agents, bankers, and local government bureaus as required.
- Collaborating with internal departments to gather, analyze, and provide financial information/ recommendation.
- Drive continuous process improvement, SOP and ad-hoc projects such as new system implementation.
- Perform ad-hoc tasks as required.
Requirement
- Min Degree in Accounting or ACCA qualified
- At least 5 years in GL accounting and reporting
- Must have SAP experience
