Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of technology projects.
- Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocations.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders. Ensure clear and consistent communication regarding project status, risks, and issues.
- Manage and mentor a team of project managers, developers, and other technical staff. Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with project delivery. Develop contingency plans to address potential challenges.
- Ensure that all projects meet quality standards and comply with regulatory requirements. Implement best practices for software development and project management.
- Oversee project budgets, ensuring that projects are delivered within financial constraints. Track expenses and report on budget performance.
- Coordinate with external vendors and partners as necessary. Manage contracts and ensure vendor deliverables meet project requirements.
- Promote continuous improvement in project delivery processes. Implement lessons learned and best practices from previous projects.
- Leads and coordinates routines to support delivery (for example, kick-offs, status reviews, stakeholder meetings, change controls, and tollgates, etc.)
- Manages coordination of delivery and dependencies across multiple teams and multiple time zones
- Provides status updates for the deliverables to stakeholders and leadership pertaining to delivery, risks, issues, and schedule.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in project management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the Banking Technology sector.
- Preferred to have experience in managing China/Taiwan projects.
- Preferred chinese speaker in order to communicate with Chinese speaking vendors.
- Experience of running multi-million dollars initiatives.
- Experience of working on Regulatory initiatives.
- Certifications: PMP, PRINCE2, or similar project management certification is preferred.
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).
- Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., Jira, MS Project).
- Proven ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams. Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills. Ability to present complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities. Ability to analyze project data and make informed decisions.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Flexibility to adapt to changing business needs and priorities.
- Good understanding of Technical Architecture
- Good knowledge and working experience with Agile software development methodology.
- Prior experience in online treasury payments and liquidity development.
- Ability and experience to lead projects with direct reports on special initiatives.
- Ability to collaborate with external programmers to coordinate delivery of software application. Entail regular interaction with global initiative technology managers and team leads.
