We are partnering with a leading global bank to identify a seasoned professional for the Financial Crime Sanctions Manager role. This senior position is vital for overseeing the bank’s compliance with Trade, Economic, and Financial Sanctions, ensuring effective risk management, and developing comprehensive sanctions policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage Financial Sanctions programs
- Support the Sanctions team in managing all aspects of Financial Crime Risk related to sanctions, including analyzing the impact of regulatory changes in Singapore.
- Collect and report potential sanctions breaches from various business lines and subsidiaries, and escalate issues to senior management as necessary.
- Act as the main liaison for internal stakeholders and regulators concerning sanctions risks, ensuring effective communication and resolution.
- Participate in local industry groups and initiatives related to sanctions, staying informed of trends and proposals.
- Provide expert advice on sanctions risks associated with new business ventures, products, and services, and design and implement appropriate mitigation strategies.
Requirements:
- Min. 6 years of financial crime compliance experience
- Thorough understanding of MAS, OFAC, UK, and EU sanctions regulations and guidance.
- Certification from the International Compliance Association (ICA) or the Association of Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialists (ACAMS) is advantageous.
