You will be responsible for providing compounding services for chemotherapy and miscellaneous extemporaneous preparations to our women and paediatric oncology patients in the outpatient or inpatient setting. Your duties include supervising pharmacy technicians and pharmacy assistants in pharmacy operations and management.
You will also be participating actively in regular multidisciplinary inpatient clinical rounds. Your role will include clinical review/verification of chemotherapy orders, optimization of pharmacotherapy and specialized counseling. You may also be involved in research, as well as ad-hoc operational or clinical pharmacy initiatives. In addition, you are expected to attend to enquiries from healthcare professionals and members of the public.
You will be rotated to our 24/7 pharmacy (shift work) periodically for exposure to other disciplines besides oncology.
Requirements
- Degree in Pharmacy from a recognized university
- Registered pharmacist with the Singapore Pharmacy Council
- No prior experience in oncology and sterile compounding services required (training will be provided). However, work experience in oncology and/or hospital/cleanroom processes will be an advantage
- Good listening and communication skills, able to work in multidisciplinary teams
- Keen to learn, able to work in fast-paced environment
- Able to work on weekends, public holidays (PHs) and rotating shifts
- Adherence to established personnel protection procedures when handling hazardous drugs used in Oncology
