As an Assistant Manager (Fleet Engineering), you are expected to:
- Plan the schedule, budget expenditure and work scope of structure/ machinery of the tugs & waterboats maintenance/ repair/ modification work/ docking;
- Coordinate with different stakeholders during the preparation/ execution of the maintenance/ repair/ modification work/ docking of the tugs & waterboats to ensure the works are carried out smoothly;
- Write/ generate necessary document/ write-up for reporting/ approval request/ presentation/ documentation purpose;
- Chair/ initiate/ conduct meeting/ discussion with the stakeholders for decision making/ status update/ information sharing & dissemination/ negotiating purpose;
- Conduct presentation to stakeholders/ target audience for status update/ information sharing/ dissemination purpose;
- Carry out manpower deployment and mentoring of the fleet engineering specialists in the workshop for breakdown repair and maintenance;
- Handle administrative matters related to the fleet engineering specialists that are in frontline/ workshop (tugs & waterboats);
- Inventory management of the spare parts for tugs and waterboats;
- Provide solution to resolved difficult breakdown cases of tugs/ waterboats and work process in view of workplace safety/ cost saving;
