Business Need / Purpose of Role
Sales promotion of Japanese spare parts to Shipowners andd Ship management customers in Singapore and other eastern south Asia countries (Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia and Philippines) to achieve Sales target of Marine Machinery Department in ISS Machine Services.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Activities as an agent of makers:
- Escort Guests from Makers to customers Discussion with customers anytime on behalf Owner-work for new buildings
- Promotion of new products
- Attending the ship (shipyard) as requested
Activities according to the request from the Osaka head office:
- Follow-ups/negotiation for bulky quotations
- Dunning works
- Development of new customers
Others:
- Obtain local intelligence from customers and feedback to Osaka operations to enhance business
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- International Trading knowledge
- Sales Acumen
- Adept at Negotiation and contract adminstration
Education/Experience:
- At least 1 year of working experience preferably with a background in the Maritime / Shipping Industry preferably Hub and/or Port Agency.
