Detailed Job Description :
- Work closely with and provide I.T support for OTC (Over the Counter) oil products desk
- Offer L1 technical support to users via phone, remote assistance, and email.
- Manage the escalation, tracking, and resolution of incidents, service requests, and problems professionally and promptly.
- Manage and support organizations’ IT infrastructure, security systems and telephony.
- Develop, implement and update IT policy, operating procedures with best practices.
- Assess and enhance IT infrastructure solutions to meet business needs.
- Assist with computer and software issues like Microsoft, servers, and security.
- Provide on-site support as required.
- Assist with other administrative tasks when needed.
- Technical Support: Provide technical assistance and support to end-users, both remotely and in-person, to resolve hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve technical problems, including but not limited to computer malfunctions, network connectivity issues, and software glitches.
- Hardware and Software Maintenance: Maintain, repair, and upgrade computer systems, peripherals, and software applications as necessary.
- User Training: Offer training to end-users on how to use hardware, software, and other IT tools effectively and securely.
- Backup Recovery: Set up and manage data backup solutions and ensure data recovery procedures are in place.
- Inventory Management: Keep track of hardware and software inventory, including licenses and warranties, and perform regular audits.
- Vendor Liaison: Communicate with external vendors and service providers to resolve technical issues and procure necessary equipment.
Applicant pre-requisites:
- Minimum Diploma / Degree in Informatics, Computer Science, IT Engineering or Equivalent
- Proven experience in IT support, preferably in a help desk or technical support role, especially on the trading floor - will be a plus.
- Should candidates have experience in the brokering industry (Oil & Gas), knowledge in - ICE, CLoud9, IPC, MFC Setups; is preferred.
- Proven and strong troubleshooting ability’s
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
- Office 365 support experience
- Good knowledge of windows server 2019 and above
- Active directory administration
- Experience of Azure hybrid environment
- Understanding of DNS and DHCP
- Good knowledge of networks and networking
- Ability to work on new tasks and to be able to research unaided
- Experience in Remotely support users
- Experience in working in a highly secure domain
- Excellent understanding of hardware and software
- Knowledge of FortiGate’s (nice to have not essential)
- Experience of supporting users with SharePoint
