Detailed Job Description :

  • Work closely with and provide I.T support for OTC (Over the Counter) oil products desk
  • Offer L1 technical support to users via phone, remote assistance, and email.
  • Manage the escalation, tracking, and resolution of incidents, service requests, and problems professionally and promptly.
  • Manage and support organizations’ IT infrastructure, security systems and telephony.
  • Develop, implement and update IT policy, operating procedures with best practices.
  • Assess and enhance IT infrastructure solutions to meet business needs.
  • Assist with computer and software issues like Microsoft, servers, and security.
  • Provide on-site support as required.
  • Assist with other administrative tasks when needed.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical assistance and support to end-users, both remotely and in-person, to resolve hardware, software, and network-related issues.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve technical problems, including but not limited to computer malfunctions, network connectivity issues, and software glitches.
  • Hardware and Software Maintenance: Maintain, repair, and upgrade computer systems, peripherals, and software applications as necessary.
  • User Training: Offer training to end-users on how to use hardware, software, and other IT tools effectively and securely.
  • Backup Recovery: Set up and manage data backup solutions and ensure data recovery procedures are in place.
  • Inventory Management: Keep track of hardware and software inventory, including licenses and warranties, and perform regular audits.
  • Vendor Liaison: Communicate with external vendors and service providers to resolve technical issues and procure necessary equipment.


Applicant pre-requisites:

  • Minimum Diploma / Degree in Informatics, Computer Science, IT Engineering or Equivalent
  • Proven experience in IT support, preferably in a help desk or technical support role, especially on the trading floor - will be a plus.
  • Should candidates have experience in the brokering industry (Oil & Gas), knowledge in - ICE, CLoud9, IPC, MFC Setups; is preferred.
  • Proven and strong troubleshooting ability’s
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Office 365 support experience
  • Good knowledge of windows server 2019 and above
  • Active directory administration
  • Experience of Azure hybrid environment
  • Understanding of DNS and DHCP
  • Good knowledge of networks and networking
  • Ability to work on new tasks and to be able to research unaided
  • Experience in Remotely support users
  • Experience in working in a highly secure domain
  • Excellent understanding of hardware and software
  • Knowledge of FortiGate’s (nice to have not essential)
  • Experience of supporting users with SharePoint
