Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and experienced M&E (Mechanical & Electrical) Engineer to join our dynamic team in the construction industry. The successful candidate will play a key role in the planning, design, and implementation of M&E systems in our construction projects, ensuring all works are executed to the highest standards and comply with local regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and Planning:
- Develop and review M&E designs, drawings, and specifications.
- Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate M&E systems seamlessly into the overall project design.
- Conduct feasibility studies and cost estimates for M&E systems.
Project Management:
- Manage and oversee M&E installations and ensure that all works are completed on time and within budget.
- Coordinate with contractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery and installation of M&E components.
- Monitor project progress and prepare regular reports for stakeholders.
- Quality Assurance and Compliance:
- Ensure all M&E works comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
- Conduct inspections and testing of M&E installations to ensure quality and performance.
- Address and resolve any technical issues or discrepancies promptly.
Technical Support:
- Provide technical support and guidance to the project team and contractors.
- Assist in the preparation of tender documents and evaluation of bids for M&E works.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and regulations.
Requirements:
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Experience:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in M&E engineering within the construction industry.
- Proven track record in managing M&E systems in construction projects.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of local building codes and regulations.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, BIM, and other relevant design software.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Certifications:
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is an advantage but not mandatory.
