We are seeking for self-motivated individuals who value integrity, teamwork and take pride in going the extra mile to provide excellent service to stakeholders and the community. As part of our team, you will be a team member supporting the planning, formulating, and managing of the procurement and contract management operations.


Roles & Responsibilities

  • Support the Head of Procurement in the managing of the procurement and contract management function
  • Establish and manage relationships with other teams, providing advice and support for their procurement and contract management activities
  • Work hand-in-hand with users on tender procurement and contract novation, reviewing all their procurement submissions such as expenditure papers, requirement specifications, recommendation reports for approval, and any other related tasks
  • Formulate and implement effective and efficient policies, processes, and systems for daily operations, and instituting internal control policies for good corporate governance, providing professional advice, support, and training to users as part of service delivery to the users in daily operations
  • Execute and oversee the development and implementation of aggregation of procurement and contract management activities for common ICT systems, goods, and services
  • Strategize buys for best sourcing to meet stakeholders’ needs and timelines and increase values and deliver outcomes across the organisation

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in any field or its equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in procurement roles, with good appreciation of procurement and governance best practices
  • Good interpersonal, communication, negotiation and influencing skills
  • Critical thinking, analytical and conceptual abilities to understand issues and resolve them
  • Ability to multi-task and respond quickly to the challenges in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Proficiency in e-procurement solutions, preferably SESAMi
  • Experience in setting up the procurement and contract management function
  • Strong project and people management skills
