As the Assistant Sales Manager (ASM), you will be responsible for overseeing the sales and marketing team to attain predetermined annual sales targets. You will drive the implementation of a robust sales and marketing strategy aimed at broadening the company's customer base and reinforcing its market position.
Responsibilities:
- Achieve Sales Targets: Develop and implement strategic sales and marketing plans to meet and exceed sales targets.
- Performance Analysis: Analyze sales revenue to evaluate the profitability of current and new products and set performance goals with sales staff.
- Lead Generation: Generate and nurture leads to create new business opportunities that support the sales team.
- Market Monitoring: Stay updated on market trends, including sales volume, product mix, and pricing, to stay competitive.
- Team Leadership: Inspire, coach, and guide the sales team to achieve their key performance indicators and co-create solutions for challenges.
- Performance Review: Regularly review and analyze individual and team sales performance, providing ongoing feedback and conducting year-end reviews.
- Customer Service Excellence: Resolve customer complaints promptly and maintain long-term relationships with high-profile clients.
- Sales Process Management: Manage sales administrative processes efficiently to ensure timely and high-quality customer service.
- Collaboration with Management: Prepare and present sales reports to management, contribute to strategy development, and drive debt collection efforts.
- Training and Development: Plan and support HR in providing sales and marketing training to improve staff competence and build a high-performing team aligned with company values.
Requirements:
- Preferably a Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Sales & Marketing, Business Administration, Engineering or a related field.
- At least 5 years of proven experience in sales in the engineering or technical industry.
- At least 3-5 years experience in supervisory or leadership role in sales.
