Responsibilities:
- Improves work safety and work quality
- Ensures proper control and utilization of material resources in the section
- Ensures rules and regulations of the company and government are being complied with
- Ensures quality of the Electrical and instrumentation works meet requirements
- Supervises Electrical and instrumentation works
- Reviews the production work processes to enhance efficiency and productivity
- Liaises with other sections, departments and owners on projects
- Responsible for efficient administration, supervision and management of his workforce:
- Looks after the welfare of his workers
- Ensures the discipline and safetyof his workers
- Deploys and utilize manpower effectively
- Carries out tasking of work to his subordinates
- Controls and manage subcontractor and their workers
- Manages the career development and training of personnel
- Involves in section-initiated projects
Requirements:
- At least 3 years of related work experience for degree holder/ 4 years of related work experience for diploma holder/ 5 years of marine engineering work experience for those without tertiary education
- Possess knowledge and/ or experience in Electrical and instrumentation specifications
- Possess good communication and interpersonal skills
- Possess good leadership, planning and decision-making skills
- Able to read and interpret drawings
- Able to assess quantity and quality of work
- Able to work in a team
- Well-versed with shipyard Permit-to-Work systems
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
