Job Summary:
The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of payroll processing and administration for all subsidiaries and affiliated companies under the group. The successful candidate will ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll, compliance with relevant regulations and effective communication with stakeholders regarding payroll matters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible to ensure new employees profiles are accurately recorded in HRIS, outgoing employees’ profiles are deactivated on time
- Manage end-to-end payroll processing for all employees, including data input, calculations of wages, statutory deductions are computed timely for approximately 1500 employees
- Manage and ensure timely submission of monthly CPF submission, tax filing for local and foreign employees, NS make-up pay claims, government-paid leave claims etc.
- Ensure accurate and timely payment of salaries, bonuses, commissions and other payroll-related payments
- Point of contact to manage payroll-related inquiries from stakeholders and provide timely and accurate responses
- Coordinate between HRIS vendor and finance teams to ensure seamless integration and payroll data with other HR and accounting systems
- Stay updated with relevant employment legislation, tax regulations, and statutory requirements to ensure compliance
- Prepare payroll-related reports for management, government agencies, and auditors as required
- Assist in the implementation of payroll system upgrades or enhancements
- Participate in payroll-related projects and initiatives as needed
- Maintain confidentiality and integrity of payroll data and information
- Assist in government-related surveys by supporting with data
- Other ad-hoc duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in Human Resource, Finance or related field
- Minimum 3-4 years experience in Payroll Management, Human Resource Executive or similar role
- Strong understanding of Payroll Principles, Taxation, Singapore Employment Act and other statutory compliances
- Excellent attention to details and accuracy in data entry and calculations
- Ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and work effectively under pressure
- High level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information
