Tasks and Responsibilities
- Assist in the design and development of ship structures and systems.
- Perform stability and hydrostatic calculations.
- Conduct structural analysis and finite element modeling.
- Participate in design reviews and prepare technical documentation.
- Collaborate with senior engineers and project teams to ensure project goals are met.
- Support the development of technical drawings and specifications.
- Assist in the evaluation of material selection and construction methods.
- Contribute to research and development projects aimed at improving vessel performance and efficiency.
Job requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of naval architecture principles and marine engineering concepts.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Rhino, SolidWorks) and knowledge of marine design tools (e.g., GHS, MAXSURF, NAPA, ANSYS, FEMAP ).
- Basic understanding of classification society rules and regulations (e.g., ABS, DNV, Lloyd’s Register).
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges.
