The Duty Manager is responsible for overseeing the smooth operation of the front desk and ensuring that all guests receive exceptional service throughout their stay. This role includes managing front desk staff, addressing guest concerns, and coordinating with other departments to ensure a seamless guest experience. The Duty Manager is the point of contact during their shift, handling any emergencies or issues that arise.
- Oversee the check-in and check-out process to ensure a high standard of service.
- Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and special requests promptly and efficiently.
- Ensure all guest interactions reflect the hotel's commitment to providing exceptional service.
- Conduct regular inspections of the lobby and front desk area to ensure cleanliness and orderliness.
- Monitor daily operations, including room availability, bookings, and guest arrivals/departures.
- Coordinate with housekeeping, maintenance, and other departments to ensure guest needs are met.
- Ensure accurate billing and financial procedures are followed at the front desk.
- Maintain and update front desk records and reports.
- Lead, train, and motivate front desk staff to deliver excellent service.
Requirements:
- Diploma in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a front desk or guest service role.
- Proficient in hotel management software (e.g. Opera)
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and the ability to handle high-pressure situations.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
Other Information:
- Working location: Orchard
- Working hours: 5 days work week, rotating shift (including overnight shift)
