Responsibilities:
- Oversee and maintain inventory for chemicals and consumables. Procure essential materials, including chemicals, packaging, and raw ingredients for laboratory use.
- Manage the disposal of obsolete chemicals and laboratory waste, ensuring all processes adhere to regulatory requirements and proper documentation.
- Maintain laboratory infrastructure (lighting, plumbing, air handling systems) and coordinate preventive maintenance and calibration of equipment. File and upload MSDS documents and manage site safety measures.
- Handle purchase orders, packaging, UPS documentation, and weekly lab scheduling. Ensure adherence to COVID-19 safety measures and manage laboratory laundry and general housekeeping.
- Support formulation scale-up, sample preparation, and prototype packing. Facilitate effective communication with internal teams, vendors, contractors, and public authorities.
Requirements:
- Diploma in Applied Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Chemical Process Technology, or a related field.
- Preferably 1-3 years of experience in a laboratory environment.
- Proven experience in liaising with vendors and contractors for laboratory facility repair and maintenance.
