Job description:
- To ensure effective communications with suppliers and freight handling partners in order for shipping documents and instructions to be issued in a timely and accurate manner to ensure on-time deliveries.
- Establish communication with suppliers to enable timely, accurate delivery schedule of supplier.
- To assist the Procurement Manager in liaising with supplier and forwarders on logistics and shipping matters.
- Preparation of expediting reports detailing supplier's progress and arranging transportation and logistics for clearance of consignments (import and export)
- Procurement of project and non-project items at various vendors to meet the Company's Yard requirements.
- Monitor performance and provide feedback of suppliers, transportation and logistics providers by ensuring resolution of issues and timely deliveries.
- Ensure close monitoring of commited delivery date of suppliers.
- Monitor and ensure that all custom permit declaration complies with the regulatory requirements.
- Inform overseas suppliers to provide import CIPL with seaway Bill or Surrendered B/L to DM person-in-charge to check and verification purpose.
- Review and verify overseas supplier import CIPL with seaway Bill or Surrendered B/L and MES Import.
- To liaise with carrier agent to request Notice of Arrival in advance before vessel arrives in Singapore.
- In charge of preparing logistics tarrif rates.
- Collate and submit monthly MES report to Finance
- Assist in the Annual Vendors Assessmetn exercise
- Preparation of documetns for audit purpose.
- Other procurement functions as assigned by Reporting Officer.
Job Requirements:
- Diploma/Degree in Purchasing Management/Supply Chain Logistics Management/Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Marine or Oil & Gas industry or machinery procurement experience
- Able to work independently, meticulous and analytical with excellent problem-solving skills
