Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with healthcare providers, clinical staff, and IT teams to gather, document, and analyze requirements for the EpicCare Ambulatory EMR system.
- Work closely with the Epic implementation team to ensure the successful deployment, configuration, and optimization of the EpicCare Ambulatory EMR system.
- Analyze existing clinical workflows and processes, and recommend modifications to improve efficiency and patient care within the Epic system.
- Assist in configuring and customizing the EpicCare Ambulatory EMR modules to meet the specific needs of healthcare practices, ensuring alignment with clinical and business objectives.
- Develop and execute test plans, scripts, and scenarios to validate system functionality, data integrity, and workflow alignment. Identify and resolve any issues or discrepancies.
- Provide training and ongoing support to end-users, ensuring they are proficient in using the EpicCare Ambulatory EMR system. Develop training materials and documentation as needed.
- Analyze clinical and operational data within the Epic system to generate reports and dashboards that support decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Act as a liaison between clinical staff, IT teams, and management, ensuring clear communication and understanding of project requirements, timelines, and outcomes.
- Ensure that all EpicCare Ambulatory EMR implementations adhere to relevant healthcare regulations, data privacy standards (such as HIPAA), and organizational security policies.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in EpicCare Ambulatory EMR and healthcare IT, recommending system enhancements and process improvements to optimize clinical and operational performance.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, with a focus on EpicCare Ambulatory EMR systems.
- Proficient in EpicCare Ambulatory EMR, with hands-on experience in system implementation, configuration, and support.
- Epic certification in EpicCare Ambulatory or other relevant Epic modules is preferred.
- Strong understanding of clinical workflows, healthcare operations, and the ability to align EMR systems with clinical needs.
- Familiarity with healthcare IT systems, data analysis tools, and experience with software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex healthcare processes and systems, providing innovative solutions.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clinical and technical stakeholders.
- Experience in project management or the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously within a healthcare environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and build strong relationships with clinical staff and other stakeholders.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of work, particularly in system configuration and data analysis.
- Ability to quickly learn new technologies and adapt to changing healthcare environments and regulations.
