RESPONSIBILITIES:
- To be able to effectively assess risk impact of project activities and issue Safety Stand Down when deemed necessary.
- Dealing with authorities, staffs, client’s representatives, public, neighbours and other interested parties on matters related to safety & health.
- Conduct regular inspection and see to it that person responsible for the NC recorded or raised by interested parties are informed to perform corrective actions with photos evidence of closure.
- Conduct accident / incident investigations and recommendations on corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Monitor and evaluate effectiveness of all corrective actions taken
- Ensure reporting of incident comply with legal requirement.
- Responsible for the implementation and monitoring of Environmental Management System of work site
- Conduct regular site inspections and follow-up actions to ensure environment compliance
- Advise Project Manager on site environmental issues and solutions
- Report and recommend on remedial measures on environmental issues
- Prepare and submit a Site Environmental Control Programme to PM
- Organise campaigns, training courses and other activities to develop and sustain the interest of staff and workers in maintaining good environmental health standards in the construction site
- Other ad-hoc duties assigned by the Project Manager
REQUIREMENTS:
- Preferable to have minimum 5 years of experience in building/ civil projects
- Registered Environmental Control Officer (ECO)
- Possess valid registration with Ministry of Manpower
- Possess a level of physical fitness appropriate to the job requirements, keen observation and knowledge of WSH requirements to enforce safety compliance at the workplace
