As an Account Manager, you will play a crucial role in coordinating and executing various events, ensuring seamless delivery and exceeding client expectations.
Job Scope
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, understanding their goals and objectives, and providing regular updates on project progress.
- Communicate with shopping malls and venues to secure event space, plus negotiate access fees and event contracts.
- Develop a trusted advisor relationship with key accounts by actively listening to their needs, addressing concerns, and ensuring client satisfaction.
- Oversee the entire lifecycle of events, from concept to execution, ensuring all aspects align with client objectives and agency standards.
- Develop and maintain project timelines and milestones, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within scope.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure smooth collaboration and execution.
- Identify and grow opportunities with client – both for current projects and potential new campaigns.
- Employ creative methods to ensure cost-effectiveness and adherence to project budgets.
- Develop imaginative ways to reduce event waste in line with the company’s sustainability objectives.
- Work closely with the Operations team to develop logistics plans and coordinate with vendors to ensure smooth event operations.
- Develop training content and conduct event crew training sessions.
- Carry out on-site inspections and oversee event setups.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues in creative, marketing, and operations departments to ensure a cohesive and integrated approach to project delivery.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, motivating and guiding team members to achieve project goals.
- Maintain and manage with care client budgets.
- Generate and submit client invoices.
- Actively participate in team meetings – including regular staff meetings, plus brainstorming, project development and review sessions.
- Conduct post-event evaluations to assess project success and gather feedback for continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- A personable, positive, hard-working and outgoing personality.
- Bachelor’s Degree or comparable experience in events management, business, marketing, communications, or a related field.
- 3 years minimum proven experience in a similar role managing and growing client relationships and/or account management. Experience in event project management within an agency environment is a plus.
- Excellent verbal, presentation, written and email communication skills.
- Collaborative and strong desire to work with others in teams.
- An ultimate multi-tasker with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Highly organized and detail focused.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to change.
- Proficient in MS Office.
- Creative problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges.
