Job Description:
As a Class 4 Driver (Logistics), you will be responsible for transporting goods between various locations in Singapore, ensuring timely and safe deliveries while providing exceptional service to our clients. You will also be expected to maintain accurate records and adhere to all safety and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and drive a Class 4, 24ft vehicle to transport goods to designated locations within Singapore.
- Plan and follow the most efficient routes, considering traffic conditions and delivery schedules.
- Load, unload, and secure cargo, ensuring that all goods are delivered in good condition.
- Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe and working order.
- Maintain accurate delivery records, including delivery logs and vehicle inspection reports.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Provide excellent customer service by interacting professionally with clients and addressing any delivery-related issues.
- Report any vehicle maintenance issues or accidents to the relevant department promptly.
- Assist with other logistics tasks as needed, including warehouse duties and inventory checks.
Requirements:
- Valid Singapore Class 4 driving license.
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar logistics role.
- Familiarity with Singapore's roads, routes, and traffic conditions.
- Good physical condition and ability to lift and carry heavy items.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and safety procedures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with GPS systems and route planning tools.
- Familiarity with logistics and warehousing operations.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a logistics environment.
