Job Description
Teaching and Learning Duties
· To create teaching and learning resources for the conduct of ICT lessons, in consultation with HODs, to strengthen the development of students’ digital literacy and technological skills. Examples of topcis to be covered include MS Excel, MS Word, Touch-typing, use of SLS and Zoom platforms, and cyberwellness content.
· To conduct age-appropriate ICT classes for P1 – P6 students and ensure they are well-equipped with ICT skills.
· To conduct ICT Lessons within curriculum time.
· To co-conduct ICT Club CCA during CCA days, supporting students on project works and preparing for competitions.
· To install and uninstall the respective ICT training courses software before/after the ICT lessons
· To ensure that the ICT equipment are in good working order before the commencement of lessons.
Administration
· To carry out administrative work related to ICT (eg. management of the facilities booking portal & other ICT-related administrative work)
School publicity and communications duties
- Work with the Principal, Vice-Principals and teachers to collate information to post them to the social media such as school’s Facebook and website.
- Manage the school’s website and FB account, and ensure that the information posted is up to date. Also, a periodic check on social media in case of any articles of interest related to the school.
Miscellaneous Duties
- To assist in the preparation of presentation materials during major events
- To assist in setting up of ICT equipment/ video-recording of events
- To assist in the design of posters/certificates/banners for school events.
- To take photos/videos for school events and organisation charts
Requirements
- The candidate supplied by the Contractor shall be registered with the Ministry of Education and remain registered with the Ministry of Education throughout the Contract period.
- Possess minimally Diploma in ICT- related field.
- Able to converse and write in English.
- Preferably to have minimally 2 years of experience in teaching ICT lessons in schools.
- Preferably have experience in teaching in primary schools setting.
- Possess experience in managing any of the above-mentioned scope of services
Working hours
· Mondays to Thursdays: 7.30am to 4.30pm, inclusive of 0.5hr lunch break
· Fridays: 7.30am to 4.00pm, inclusive of 0.5hr lunch break
· Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public holidays
