(A ) JOB SUMMARY
- Responsible and able to manager all insurance related matters.
- Coordinate requests for information by insurers, medical concierges prior to admission, inflight and after discharge
- Establish good working relationship with insurers, medical concierge including medical clinic staff
(B) PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist to provide bill estimation to insurers, medical concierge and any other information relating to the issuing of a LOG before patient’s admission.
- Work with clinic to facilitate insurers issuing a LOG
- Imperative to have a LOG for all insurance guarantee cases, without which, the bill must be fully paid on discharge and to advise patient to seek reimbursement from their insurers
- For inflight case, to ensure all documentations provided are in order, ensuring the amount covered is sufficient to cover the amount in the discharge bill otherwise, to trigger an email to the insurer to top up the coverage before discharge.
- During discharge, work with BO and PSC to ensure that non-covered amount such as companion charges, foreign insurers admin fee, room difference (if any) is collected before patient’s leave the hospital otherwise to ensure some preauthorization is obtained before the patient leave the hospital.
- Work with PSC and BO staff to manage sending the final bill with interim LOG to the insurer including the discharge summary.
- To assist insurers/medical concierge on requests for reports, bills, discharge summary, etc to facilitate them to process the bills.
- Final LOG will be provided by insurers /medical concierge and to forward it to BO AR team to send final bill to them
- Process patients' refund through cheques and credit cards in a timely manner.
- Ensure timely and accurate billing for submission to relevant authorities for Medisave / Medishield claims
- Check ledger to ensure the accuracy in billing including Letter of Certification.
- Working hours : Mon to Fri 8:30am to 5pm / Sat or Sun 8:30am to 1pm
(C) SECONDARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in redesign of workflows and processes based on best practices
- Undertake any other duties as assigned by supervisor and/or management.
(D) REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum GCE O-Level qualification
- 1-2 years of related working experience, preferably with healthcare or insurance background
