Key Responsibilities
- Baking and Production: Prepare and bake a wide range of products including cakes, cookies, pastries, and other baked goods according to recipes and quality standards.
- Ingredient Preparation: Measure and mix ingredients accurately to ensure consistency and quality in all baked goods.
- Equipment Management: Operate and maintain baking equipment such as ovens, mixers, and dough sheeters. Ensure all equipment is cleaned and in proper working condition.
- Quality Control: Monitor the baking process to ensure products meet the desired taste, texture, and appearance. Adjust recipes and processes as needed to maintain product quality.
- Inventory Management: Manage and track inventory levels of baking supplies and ingredients. Place orders as needed and ensure proper storage to minimize waste.
- Hygiene and Safety: Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper food handling, sanitation practices, and cleanliness of the baking area.
Requirements:
- Experience: Previous experience as a baker or in a similar role preferred.
- Skills: Proficient in baking techniques and use of baking equipment. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes accurately.
- Knowledge: Understanding of food safety standards and best practices in hygiene.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy items, and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Communication: Good verbal communication skills and ability to work well in a team setting.
- Certification: Relevant certifications in baking or culinary arts may be advantageous.
