Shipping and Logistic Executive
Job Responsibilities:
Shipping and Logistics
- Facilitate the shipping of products from one destination to another
- Arrange transportation and deliveries of goods from suppliers to meet customers’ demand without any delay
- Manage activities throughout the order fulfilment and transportation cycle within stipulated deadlines
Documentation and Administration
- Coordinate documentations with suppliers for shipment of goods to customers
- Support the purchases of goods and services to our customers globally
- Handle full scope of purchasing documentation process (generate and complete the approval of Sales Orders and POs; manage, monitor and update delivery status and schedules; highlighting any discrepancies/delay to the superior and provide recommendations as necessary).
- Prepare all shipping documents for import shipments and process bank documents such as Letter of Credit, etc.
- Carry out administrative tasks such as data input, processing of information, completing paper work and filling of documents.
- Handle feedbacks & complaints from customers and suppliers
- Any other ad-hoc duties assigned by Superior.
Continuous Improvements
- Review of freight costs, transportation rates or any other costs associated with logistics arrangements for cost optimization
- Track the performance of suppliers, and support improvement initiatives with suppliers
- Continuous process improvement, e.g. streamlines documentation process to simplify and improve processing time
Qualifications Required:
- Diploma in Supply Chain Management and Logistics.
- Minimum 7 years of relevant logistic and shipping experience.
- Candidate who comes from trading industry is highly preferred
- Hands-on experience in LC preparation and documentation is a must
- Strong technical knowledge in the logistic and shipping industry
- Excellent coordination skills, meticulous, proactive and able to work well in a team
- Have a positive, highly adaptable, flexible, eager to learn and can-do attitude
- Effectively bilingual in both English and Mandarin (in order to liaise with Chinese counterparts)
- Highly proficient in desktop technologies (e.g. MS Office Excel, Word, Outlook) and in ERP system (e.g. Oracle).
- Able to work in a fast-paced and time-critical environment, and embraces technologies
