Our client, a leading innovator in database technology, is seeking a Senior Database Solutions Architect to join their dynamic team. As a Solutions Architect, you will be the go-to expert on relational databases and cloud deployments, working closely with clients to understand their needs, propose tailored solutions, and demonstrate the value of advanced database technologies.
You will play a key role in driving the adoption of the company’s flagship database product, overseeing proof of concept projects, and supporting post-sale implementations to ensure customer success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a subject matter expert on relational databases, including database modeling, migration, performance testing, and day-to-day operations.
- Leverage your extensive experience with both open-source and commercial databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, and SQL Server.
- Utilize major cloud service providers (AWS, Alibaba Cloud, GCP, Azure) for the deployment of workloads and demonstrate best practices.
- Provide technical expertise on all aspects of the company’s database product, including compatibility assessments, deployment, administration, development, and migration.
- Lead discussions and demonstrations of the product’s technology, vision, and value proposition with individual clients and groups.
- Identify client pain points, business challenges, and technical requirements, positioning the company’s solutions as the ideal fit.
- Run Proof of Concept projects to validate the capabilities of the database solution in real-world scenarios.
- Collaborate with post-sale teams to support smooth implementation and address technical challenges.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, MIS, or a related field is preferred.
- Over five years of experience in a customer-facing technical role, with at least two years as a solution architect at a database technology company or a cloud service provider.
- Strong background as a Database Administrator or Architect, with hands-on experience writing, analyzing, and optimizing SQL, particularly in MySQL and/or Oracle environments.
- Familiarity with mainstream database products (Oracle, MySQL, Snowflake, MongoDB, etc.) and proficiency in at least one.
- Experience working with public cloud environments and deploying database solutions on platforms like AWS, GCP, Azure, or Alibaba Cloud.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage with customers independently and propose technical solutions based on their requirements.
- Willingness to travel across ASEAN and beyond, supporting clients in various regions.
- Native-level English proficiency; basic proficiency in Mandarin is preferred but not mandatory.
- Bonus: Application development experience in major programming languages such as Java, Python, NodeJS, or .NET.
