Title: Co-Marketing Compliance Program Manager – Japan and Korea Markets Lead

There are various projects which are implemented in association with partners and/or partner programs. These projects are governed by specific guidelines which dictate the rules of engagement and define the conditions and/or clauses for project implementation. The compliance team works with clients and partners to ensure that all such projects are compliant with the guidelines before implementation.


The Co-Marketing Compliance Program Manager leads a team of compliance experts overseeing co-marketing compliance operations in Japan and Korea based in Singapore. This role requires close collaboration with the Regional Co-Marketing Compliance Program Director to ensure that Dell’s marketing activities comply with program guidelines set by partner vendors, such as Intel. The manager is responsible for providing training to the team on relevant processes and keeping them informed about new funding information and guidelines. Additionally, the role involves ensuring accurate tracking and accounting of marketing activities, working with Dell clients, other compliance teams in the APJ region, and media partners to efficiently manage the co-marketing compliance program and maintain operational accuracy. Specific duties include, but may not be limited to:


General Compliance:

  • Be the Subject Matter Expert for all compliance guidelines/processes relating to Dell Co-marketing compliance programs.
  • Conduct compliance review on marketing activities in workflow software. Provide complete, accurate and timely feedback.\
  • Be responsible in communicating program changes and the implications of such to team and Dell stakeholders in a clear and timely manner.
  • Provide necessary tracking and other reports as required.
  • Work closely with Media and Accounts Management teams to ensure alignment in program details and processes.
  • Assist local compliance team/s, clients, and media partners on compliance queries, when necessary
  • Accesses Intel systems to create activity numbers and assist the client in maintaining vendor funding plan and accruals.
  • Participates in local compliance review call/s with Dell stakeholders and Regional Mediacom Claiming team.
  • Ensures the agency’s contractual obligations to the documentation retention process as required by partners are being adhered to
  • Attends regional and local compliance status meetings with client and partners
  • Proactively identifies opportunities to adjust processes for efficiencies and updates
  • Adheres to agency policies and protects the interests of our clients, staff and agency (timesheets, scopes, performance reviews, etc.)

Execution:

  • Monitors trends continually to identify potential issues or risks
  • Identifies situations that require escalation (proactively solve issues and escalate as last resort)
  • Make adjustments when required or requested by senior staff
  • Follows standard operating procedures and utilizes appropriate tools and templates for each required task

Communication – Internal and client communication, written and oral communication

  • Responds effectively to team questions
  • Identifies opportunities for improving communication
  • Escalates issues appropriately and professionally and demonstrates good judgment in handling difficult situations

Client management – Being a trusted resource

  • Partner with internal clients in a positive, professional and constructive way, establishing solid relationships
  • Works with extended team to ensure that client expectations are met

Skills:

  • Candidate must be proficient in English, Korean and Japanese languages
  • Strong attention to details
  • Strong process orientation
  • High degree of organizational skill
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Takes initiative; demonstrated ability to work independently
  • Ability to take direction and absorb information quickly
  • Familiarity with Office programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook and is comfortable with learning and using formulas, chart/graphs, pivot tools.
  • A willingness and flexibility to do “whatever it takes” for “whoever needs it”
  • Preferably with marketing, advertising or media experience but not required.
