We are seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer / Network Design Consultant to join our team in Singapore. This role involves providing expert network consulting services to clients, focusing on optimizing network performance and security. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in network engineering and be adept at client-facing interactions, network design, and project management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert network consulting services, analyzing client network infrastructures and proposing improvements.
- Design, plan, and implement network solutions to enhance performance and security.
- Collaborate with clients to gather networking requirements and explain technical concepts clearly.
- Develop and optimize network solutions based on business needs, performance, and cost considerations.
- Ensure proposed solutions meet customer requirements, providing quality technical consultation.
- Stay informed about technological advancements in infrastructure security and network threats.
- Manage projects, deliverables, and mentor junior staff.
- Develop and maintain internal technical standards, documentation, and specifications.
Requirements:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
- Industry certifications such as Cisco CCNP or CCIE.
- At least 8 years of experience in designing campus networks.
- Proficiency in LAN/WAN topologies and routing protocols like OSPF, BGP, and EIGRP.
- Familiarity with commercial wireless solutions (e.g., Cisco, Aruba) and mobile network technologies (4G/LTE/5G).
- Strong understanding of networking concepts, protocols (TCP/IP), and network security.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts and write detailed reports.
- Experience in a consulting business environment with a focus on network design and pre-sales.
- Proven ability to build and maintain client relationships and identify new business opportunities.
