Formative Search partnered with a global energy player who is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Sales Engineer to join their team in Singapore. You will be involved in implementing their business model while ensuring compliance with their health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards. You will play a critical role in market segmentation, customer engagement, and project execution to drive revenue growth in the renewable energy sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement the business model and execute sales contracts within the Joint Venture model while adhering to HSE and compliance standards.
- Accurately segment and target the market to identify and realize market opportunities, balancing pipeline development and revenue generation.
- Identify and cultivate relationships with potential customers and partnerships to originate opportunities for the business.
- Conduct site assessments and provided detailed assessment reports, contributing to PV System design aligning with local regulations and TotalEnergies’ technical specifications while maintaining a strong HSE mindset.
- Educate customers on the benefits of solar energy and details regarding their proposed systems.
- Present and negotiate high-value contracts with clients, guiding them through closing.
- Sustain strong client relationships through effective communication and follow-up.
- Coordinate with internal teams, local regulatory bodies, and third parties to ensure smooth project execution.
- Stay informed on the latest industry trends, technologies, and regulations.
- Maintain comprehensive customer activities and communications documentation, utilizing CRM tools (Salesforce) and other sales management software.
- Collaborate with pre-sales, project, technical, and post-sales teams to fulfil customer objectives and successfully implement project plans.
- Grow the Commercial & Industrial (C&I) portfolio through strategic marketing, origination, sales, and service while achieving set KPIs.
Key Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a commercial/industrial environment.
- Familiarity with Singapore electrical norms, renewable energy regulations, and construction codes is preferred.
- A degree in Engineering or related professional qualifications is a plus.
- Strong business acumen with a solid understanding of business operations.
- Experience in the renewable energy sector, specifically solar and energy, is advantageous.
- In-depth understanding of the competitive landscape, with experience in structuring pricing proposals and positioning sophisticated solutions.
- Proven capability in building, negotiating, and executing contracts contributing to business growth.
- Exceptional presentation and communication skills, with the ability to influence decision-makers.
- Proven ability to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
