We are seeking a motivated and experienced Sales Manager to drive organic business growth within the marine sectors.
The ideal candidate will excel in managing direct sales channels, developing client relationships, and contributing to our product development with deep customer insights.
Job Responsibilities:
- Generate revenue by acquiring new customers and expanding opportunities within existing markets. Manage all direct sales activities and bid processes.
- Provide the Product team with valuable insights based on customer feedback, ensuring an in-depth understanding of customer needs and preferences.
- Contact assigned customers and prospects to promote and sell company products within designated regions or market sectors. Focus on achieving personal sales targets, fostering new business, maintaining customer relationships, and addressing specific customer issues.
- Develop and execute a sales plan aimed at revenue retention, growth, and new business development for your customer portfolio. Strive to meet or exceed sales targets and contribute to the company's overall growth objectives.
- Create and implement plans to build strong relationships with decision-makers and influencers within client organizations. Ensure effective communication and problem-solving to enhance customer value.
- Prepare for sales calls and meetings with clear objectives. Customize presentations to engage decision-makers and influencers, ask pertinent questions to gauge interest, and provide necessary information.
- Build and maintain a personal network in the business sector. Represent the company at industry events, gather market intelligence, and enhance the company's visibility and reputation.
- Develop product and service solutions that meet customers' mid- to long-term needs. Collaborate with internal specialists to present solutions and negotiate terms within defined commercial parameters.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams as the customer's advocate to strengthen external relationships and ensure customer satisfaction.
Job Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in Engineering or a related field, with at least 5 years of experience in marine sales or similar industries.
- Strong familiarity with and networks within the marine sector.
- Proven experience in direct sales or technical product knowledge, including support for the sales process.
- Demonstrated ability to build strong customer relationships and deliver customer-centric solutions.
- Ability to analyze complex information and solve problems effectively.
- Comfortable engaging with diverse groups of people and navigating complex organizational dynamics.
