You will provide safe Peri-operative nursing care for patients within the operating room, and provide guidance to patients and caregivers on the prescribed care and treatment required for the medical conditions. You will assist Registered Nurses in supporting stress and emergency situations involving patient care.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the safe transfer of patients to and from the Reception, Operating Room, and Post-Anesthesia Care Unit before and after surgery.
- Collaborate with the Same Day Admission (SDA) center to ensure patients are promptly transported to the appropriate operating theatres.
- Perform circulating and shuttling nurse duties as assigned.
- Maintain expertise in the operation, care, and maintenance of medical equipment and instruments.
- Prepare and verify that anesthetic equipment is ready for use in multi-disciplinary anesthesia procedures.
- Accurately document information in the Operating Theatre Management System and maintain the Peri-operative Nursing Care Record.
Requirements
- Must currently be an SNB (Singapore Nursing Board) certified Staff Nurse
- At least 2 years of healthcare experience in operating theatre settings
- Able to commit to staggered shift hours and overtime
