We are seeking a highly experienced and driven Automotive Regional Director to join our team. This individual will be responsible for managing key accounts and driving business growth across the region.
Job Summary
The Automotive Regional Director will oversee the development and management of key accounts and business initiatives in the region, focusing on automotive-related products and services, including Warranty, GAP Insurance, and more. The successful candidate will bring immediate gross written premiums (GWP) of USD 2 million upon joining and work towards a target of USD 10 million GWP. This role requires extensive experience in the automotive industry, with a minimum of 20 years of related working experience.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Development
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the automotive sector across Southeast Asia and the broader APAC region.
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve growth targets and expand market share.
- Leverage existing relationships and networks to bring in an immediate GWP of USD 2 million upon joining.
2. Key Account Management
- Manage a portfolio of key accounts, ensuring the retention and growth of existing business.
- Act as the primary point of contact for key clients, providing exceptional customer service and support.
- Negotiate contracts, renewals, and pricing with key clients to maximize profitability and achieve GWP targets.
3. Sales Strategy and Execution
- Develop and execute sales strategies to reach a target of USD 10 million GWP.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including underwriting, claims, and marketing, to ensure alignment with business goals.
- Monitor sales performance and provide regular reports to senior management.
4. Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including insurers, brokers, and automotive partners.
- Attend industry events, conferences, and trade shows to network and promote the company's automotive-related products and services.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key decision-makers in the automotive and insurance industries.
5. Product Development and Innovation
- Work closely with the product development team to provide insights and feedback on market needs and product enhancements.
- Contribute to the development of new automotive-related products and solutions to meet the evolving needs of clients.
6. Compliance and Risk Management
- Ensure all business development and sales activities comply with relevant regulations and company policies.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with key accounts and business operations.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in any field; Engineering preferred.
• Minimum of 20 years of related working experience in the automotive industry.
• Extensive experience in automotive-related products and services, including Warranty, GAP Insurance, and others.
• Proven track record in business development, key account management, and achieving significant sales targets.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Willingness to travel extensively across the region as required.
