Test Manager

Minimum 8+ years of experience working as part of Payments Technology solution at an IT company, in the role of Project Manager / Test Manager / Delivery Manager.

Must have played a technical lead or Test Manager role for at least 4 year for a full life cycle of application design and development including participation in initial discussion on requirements

PRIMARY SKILL:

• Project Management / Test Management with PMP certification • Exposure to Payments Technology

• Knowledge of Global Payments Processing like SWIFT, Clearing systems (e.g. RTGS, ACH, etc) Should have worked in end-to-end implementation of an IT solution in one of the above Functional areas. Exposure and experience in Payments or Cash Management products like Fundtech’s GPP, GCP, Dovetail or Clear2Pay OPF, Polaris Intellect Suite, etc

SPECIFICATIONS:

Ability to initiate new project or take over existing project

• Work on estimations, planning, scheduling and control

• Capable of delivering in a multi-shore model.

• Hands on experience on payment systems and exposure to Payments Hub, Clearing and Settlement, Automated clearing house programs

• Experience with multiple payments and cash management products like Fundtech, Clear2Pay, ACI, Montran, Dovetail

• Strong Project Management skills with at least 6+ years of PM experience working within a Global (time zone separated) team

• Good understanding of Banking domain

• Strong understanding of Project Management concepts, SDLC methodologies and Operating models (Agile and Waterfall)

• Exposure to defining Testing Approach, create and schedule testing activities and meet deadlines.

• Exposure to working with various vendors, internal & external stakeholders to carry out various testing activities to completion.

• Exposure to HPQC, JIRA or other defect management tools

• Experience in NFR testing

• Experience in Test Automation & Tools like QTP, LISA etc

• Managed projects on different technology platforms i.e. Legacy (mainframes) or Open systems (.Net, Java, etc), on different Operating systems (Windows, Unix, Linux)

• Expertise in using Microsoft Office Project for creating and maintain project plans and MS Office Tool Suite (including Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel)

• Excellent presentations skills, ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner

• Ability to deal with ambiguity and define approaches to bring unfocused issues to resolution

• Work with Shared Services Organizations

• Support RFI / RFP and support the sales process

GOOD TO HAVE:

• PMO experience

• Good knowledge in PL SQL and Unix Scripting, C, C++, J2EE, STRUTS and any EAI

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Testing engagement management

• IT Test Delivery both Functional and Non-functional

• Stakeholder management

• Management Reporting

• Enable creation of payments technology domain capabilities, both solution offerings and delivery skills

• Partner with development managers to ensure projects have a time, cost and delivery plan and deliver high quality software to plan as a result of proactive planning and mitigation of issues

• Work closely with Business Analyst to correctly and completely define Business requirements

• Stakeholder Management, Scope Management, Risk Monitoring and Mitigation

• Project and program level tracking and reporting (including task/ milestone tracking, resourcing, risks and issues, WSR)

• Implement software quality assurance initiatives for projects within Payments

• Assess the impact of changes on existing business and technology processes as well as other interfacing systems

• Adhere to toolsets and procedures and embrace them with their project management skills

• Plan and monitor financial budgets, forecasting and metrics to measure project health

• Management reporting including creation, collation and publishing of regional and functional dashboards

• Creation and maintenance of SharePoint sites

• Work with geographically dispersed teams

• Co-ordinate development and implementation of project management best practices to improve overall efficiency and productivity of delivery teams
