Manager/Executive Manager (International Affairs Branch)
[What the role is]
You will work within the International Affairs Branch of Meteorological Service Singapore (MSS), Business and Strategy Division, to advance Singapore’s interests in meteorology and climate science through strategic international and regional engagements.
[What you will be working on]
The job scope will include but not limited to the following:
- Supporting the strategic development, implementation and review of MSS’s international and regional engagements masterplan
- Provide support for regional capacity development programmes in the meteorological and climate science domains
- Identifies possible initiatives and topics to forge collaborative partnership and cooperation arrangements with strategic partners
- Supporting MSS’s hosting of events, meetings and visits from strategic partners
- SupportManagement’s involvement at regional and international meetings
[What we are looking for]
The job might be for you if you possess the following:
- Sound understanding of foreign diplomacy, processes and dynamics in bilateral and multilateral settings, with preferably 2 years of experience in international relations
- Detail oriented, with strong planning and organisational skills
- Goodteam player that takes the initiative with tasks
- Self-motivated and committed to a high standard of service delivery
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Mature, independent and resourceful
- Work well under pressure and able to adhere to tight deadlines
