We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Service Engineer to join their dynamic team and contribute to the maintenance and service excellence that our clients rely on.

Job Summary:

As a Service Engineer in the Marine/Oil & Gas industry, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of a wide range of mechanical and electrical equipment on vessels and offshore platforms. You will work closely with clients to ensure the highest standards of service are met, contributing to the smooth operation of critical systems in demanding environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation & Commissioning: Install, test, and commission mechanical and electrical systems on marine vessels and offshore platforms.
  • Maintenance & Repair: Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of equipment such as engines, generators, pumps, compressors, HVAC systems, and other critical components.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical support and guidance to clients, ensuring all issues are addressed promptly and effectively.
  • Inspection & Diagnostics: Conduct regular inspections and diagnostics to identify potential issues and recommend solutions to prevent downtime.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed records of all service activities, including maintenance logs, inspection reports, and customer communications.
  • Compliance: Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
  • Training: Train clients' personnel on the operation and maintenance of installed systems.
  • On-call Support: Be available for on-call support, including emergency repairs and troubleshooting.
  • Client Interaction: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Diploma or degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Service Engineer in the Marine or Oil & Gas industry.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in mechanical and electrical systems, with hands-on experience in troubleshooting and repairing marine and offshore equipment.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications such as STCW, OPITO, or equivalent are preferred.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure in challenging environments.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly and concisely.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to travel and work offshore as required.
