Regional Corporate Strategy Manager

MAIN PURPOSE

The Shiseido APAC Corporate Strategy and Development organization supports the regional leadership team in shaping the future of the company. By assessing the trends that impact the business across consumers, categories, competition and technology, the team plays an active role in identifying opportunities, defining strategies and bringing forward new initiatives in order to create the most value. This function collaborates closely with the different functions across the region to drive alignment of goals and execution.


The Regional Corporate Strategy Manager is responsible for analyzing and synthesizing complex information that impact the business and from this, put forward insight-based recommendations to the leadership team to achieve the organization goals. He/She will also have the opportunities to lead key initiatives to execute on our strategic priorities – from market opportunity sizing, business analytics and transformation initiatives as well as support critical business status reporting and the APAC region business planning process.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategy & Development

  • Partner closely with regional and country commercial and finance teams to identify business liase opportunities and solve problems through data and insights.
  • Identify issues, risks and benefits of existing business and proposed solutions and outlining business impact.
  • Analyse and synthesize market data and business performance, providing recommendations (of projects/process) as well as leading the design and operationalising special projects across sales, marketing, corporate planning and business transformation to improve future outcomes.
  • Support the delivery of overall SAPAC business target viaTracking and early flag out of potential business issues derived from analysis
    Supporting the deployment and tracking of regional strategies, key priorities, and initiative readiness tracking
    Understand & support the country level business planning and delivery

Business Analysis

  • Support the timely and accurate consolidation and preparation ofThe monthly rolling financial estimate for the Brands and Countries
    Data for management business reviews
    Tracking and reviews of Brands and Markets actual Net/Retail Sales performance vs estimate
  • Support preparation of the annual budget from Net/Retail Sales and full Profit & Loss Statement
  • Analyse commercial data such as budgets, sales results, and forecasts
  • Estimate costs and identifying business savings
  • Model business processes and identifying opportunities for process improvements

Reporting & Others

  • Play a key role in the Asia Pacific region business planning process and supporting critical business status reporting.
  • Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual business performance reviews, and to provide latest business estimates for the year moving forward.
  • Working in close liaison with functions within the Regional Headquarters i.e finance, supply chain, and brand teams to prepare reports and provide insights and justifications for actions and plans.
  • Responsible for reporting to global headquarters and ensuring accurate and timely communication of our business performance and strategic initiatives.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proactive, data-driven, and strong desire to challenge the status quo
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field
  • 5 years’ experience working in marketing, business development or consulting
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills with the ability to distill complex analysis to simple communications
  • Proficient Microsoft Excel skills with business modelling
  • Demonstrated project management and execution experience in cross-functional environments
  • Ability to connect the dots across insights, functions, and initiatives
  • Ability to influence senior leadership through data and insights
  • FMCG industry experience in an APAC context
