Position Summary:
Develops sourcing strategy for all goods and services. Negotiates and manages contracts and relationships with vendors. Implements policies and metrics to ensure that savings goals are realized. Works with technical buyers, engineers and management to identify new product needs. Identifies new sources in order to meet business requirements. Responsible for quality control of vendor products.

Responsibilities:
- Business partnership between strategic sourcing and product development for new product launch projects in consumables.
- Drive NPI project deliverables by collaborating with cross functional teams and influencing stakeholders.
- Lead RFx activities and make/buy analysis aligned with category and manufacturing strategies.
- Negotiates agreements (i.e., development agreement, statements of work, licensing agreement) achieving favorable terms that mitigate business risks and protect Illumina’s IP while maintaining cost competitiveness.
- Collaborate with internal teams and suppliers to develop capabilities, continuity, and capacity. Identify and reduce supply chain risks.
- Support the execution of continuous improvement initiatives within Global Supply Chain.

Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experiences

- Strong negotiator; ability to negotiate the best deal for ILMN and influence upward.
- Familiarity with ERP and procurement systems.
- Proficient in use of Microsoft Office (Project, Word, Excel, Outlook, Access).
