Qualification criteria


· University Degree, preferably in Information Technology, or related field.

· Proficiency in English

· 7+ years of professional experience in relevant fields, whereof 4+ years specifically in IT/IS procurement or IT/IS vendor management.

· International experience from multinational company

· Demonstrated experience in roles with responsibilities beyond local or regional markets, focusing on global strategies and implementations.

· . Procurement platform/-s experience

· Advanced knowledge of MS Office Suite

Main purpose of the job

The role of the Global Procurement Lead: IT Vendor Management is to secure effective relationships with key IT/IS vendors, ensuring high-quality service delivery, and optimizing the value derived from vendor partnerships, while at the same time connecting Global Procurement with Regional organizations and Asahi Group Holdings.

The role serves as the critical link between Procurement Category teams, Business Stakeholders and key IT/IS vendors, focusing on safeguarding the company's key IT/IS business strategies and assets. The Global IT/IS Vendor Manager develops and implements robust vendor management frameworks, governance, procedures, drives sustainable strategies and innovations.

He / She plays a supporting role in bridging the gap between Global and Regional organizations. Fosters collaboration, alignment and the sharing of best practices and knowledge across regions.

Furthermore, the Global Procurement Lead: IT Vendor Management connects the Global Procurement Office with Asahi Group Holdings, securing seamless integration and activation. This involves acting in alignment with the respective Category Director, Category team, and the Liaison Director.

The overarching goal is to reach highest levels of efficiency, effectiveness, and continuous improvement in managing key strategic IT/IS vendors, fostering unity across regions and enhancing capabilities while aligning practices with Asahi's overall IT/IS strategy and external benchmarks.


Accountabilities and deliverables

1. Support collaboration between the Global Procurement team and Regional procurement teams (focus on Japan) in according with implementing procurement purpose, vision, strategies, and governance regardless of language in a timely manner. Ensure that all parties are well-informed and aligned on joint projects, policies, or objectives.

2. Ensure that the Global Procurement strategy aligns with the specific procurement needs and regulations of each region (focus on Japan), taking into account factors such as local suppliers, market conditions, and supply chain dynamics.

3. Foster collaboration, alignment and the sharing of best practices and knowledge across regions

4. In collaboration with IT/IS Business Stakeholders and Procurement Category team, develop comprehensive strategies and frameworks for managing key IT/IS vendors, aiming to optimize business value and service delivery aligned with Asahi IT/IS business strategy.

5. Cultivate strong partnerships with strategic IT/IS vendors, emphasizing performance management and quality assurance, monitor and evaluate performance to ensure alignment with business and technological goals, as well as issue resolution.

6. Manage and track plans including objectives, key value drivers and related KPIs.

7. Identify and mitigate risks associated with performance of strategic IT/IS vendors, price volatility, supplier stability, and availability of products/services ; implement risk management strategies to ensure continuity of IT/IS service delivery and business operations.

8. Establish and secure internal governance and control systems and procedures to protect the company's key IT/IS business strategies and assets

9. Drive innovation to enhance business value and technological advancement.

10. Drive continuous improvement of capabilities and practices in alignment with Asahi's overall IT/IS strategy and external benchmarks.

11. Support Global Procurement People strategy and culture (incl. DEI, employee engagement and well-being).

12. Self-manage adherence to defined governance, policies, and processes.

13. Protect reputation of Asahi by following applicable legislation.
