Responsibilities
- Lead the Research & Development of new products in bakery ingredients, meat and seafood.
- Oversee the QA and R&D team team, providing guidance, support, and mentorship throughout the development process.
- Support marketing team in development of new product. Prepare project charter, Gantt charts and deliverable to ensure on time completion of the new product.
- Define critical material attributes of final products that must be controlled to meet target product quality.
- Conduct product evaluation and to devise production techniques and processes for production use.
- Write or modify formulation of new product for Food Technologist to carry out the tasks.
- Perform initial trial runs for new product and line set up from conceptualization to final production.
- Review manufacturing processes for scaling-up manufacturing processes for new and existing products.
- Drive innovation by identifying market trends, customer requirements, latest updates for food regulations and emerging technologies in the food industry.
- Trouble shoot and rectify issues relating to production QA, processes and products.
- Verify and support the updating of BOM for changes / amendments in the production formulations.
- Provide support for technical enquiries relating to new and existing products, processes, as well as OEM production.
- Any other relevant duties as assigned by superior.
Prerequisites
- Minimum 5 years of experience in similar capacity, specializes in food technology or equivalent.
- Degree in Food Technology, Biotechnology or similar.
- Familiar in dry powder mixing, liquids and beverage processing parameters.
- Experience supervising a team.
- Team player with good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented and proactive.
