Under PNC Medical group, medical grooming centre is a new centre dedicated to solv e skin issues for furry friends.
DO NOTE* This is a medical grooming position, new/experienced groomers with no prior medical knowledge is welcome to apply and on the job training and mentorship will be provided.
Job Responsibilities
- Grooming and styling pets according to pet owners’ instructions or standard grooming styles.
- Identifying health issues in pets, such as ear infections, skin conditions, or tooth decay and informing pet owners of these observations.
- Clean and freshen pet hair by washing, shampooing and drying it
- Shave, trim, and style pet hair according to the owner’s preferences
- Maintain overall pet hygiene by clipping nails, brushing teeth, and cleaning ears
- Ensuring that all pets are safe during the grooming process.
- Ensure workplace safety, hygiene level, and cleanliness of the grooming area between each client
- Advise owners on at-home care tips, recommending suitable products to owners and best practices for their pets
- Required to do cleaning at & after work
Requirements:
- SKC/Equivalent Certification or At least 1 year experience (portfolio)
- Some animal handling experience is required
- Fit and able to work long days on your feet and lift animals that weigh over 25 kg
- High level of communication and empathetic in nature
- A desire to learn, or aspiration to continue your development with canine/feline behaviour and psychology
- Good video editing and photography skills ideal
- Must have good knowledge of grooming equipment and products
- Must be open to work on weekends and evenings
- A good team player & an individual who can work independently
- Comfort working with various breeds of dogs and cats, including anxious, difficult and temperamental ones
