Based at the customer's site, the Logistics Coordinator is responsible for processing shipments, tracking and tracing, and communicating with customers and other departments. The ideal candidate will have experience in logistics and customer service, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Process shipping requests
- Track and trace shipments
- Communicate with customers in person and/or through calls, emails, and ticketing systems
- Prioritize workload according to customer requirements
- Generate and provide accurate and internationally-compliant documents to the requestor in a timely manner
- Follow up on issues and respond to customers within the appropriate time frame
- Support the safe and timely delivery of freight as it moves through the supply chain
- Report and escalate delays and incidents through established communications protocols
- Keep managers informed on all challenges and complaints, including escalation as required
- Maintain knowledge of customer policies on all aspects of product movement
- Work towards individual and department Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Assist with investigation and data collection for post mortem due to gap in process or incident
- Develop and maintain relationships with cross-functional departments, as well as carriers, vendors, and other service providers
- Articulate process improvement ideas to managers
- Create documented process for customers when requested - SOP/SWI creation
- Other tasks as required
Qualifications
- 1-2 years of experience in logistics and/or high volume customer service roles
- Fluent in English; excellent written and oral communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Effective communication skills
- Self-starter and able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Possesses a positive, can-do attitude
- Proficient with Windows and/or macOS
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel
