- Plan, execute and manage dormitory operations in compliance Foreign Employee Dormitories Act (FEDA) and all relevant regulatory requirements
- To ensure the well-being and safety and health of the residents and staff are kept at the highest standard at all times.
- Put in place a vigorous and robust pandemic and crisis response plan including working closely with Government agencies for the plan execution and control
- To achieve a dormitory occupancy rate of at least 90% based on three-month rolling average
- Manage dormitory leases and tenancies including, but not limited to, allocation, extension, renewal and termination.
- Oversea and lead an in-house maintenance team in facility management including the security and crisis management of the dormitory
- Set up dormitory Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) and Integrated Quality Management System (IQMS) for the dormitory operations including, safety and health, facility management, fault reporting and repairs, fire safety management, crisis management and equipment maintenance.
- Apprehend and detain perpetrators according to legal protocol and SOP
- Undertake policy/process reviews to support the effective management of overall dormitory operation and compliance.
- Timely reports and analysis of dorm trends, occupancy and bed rates across geographical regions.
- Devise marketing strategy to improve occupancy rate and income streams
- Engage government and non-government bodies for the implementation of whole-of-government (WOG) initiatives towards improving the overall living conditions of migrant workers.
- Manage reported activities and violations of residents.
- Manage dispute cases with clients
- Manage the provision of meals for the residents.
- Whenever necessary, be the main point of contact whenever there are any inspections/ audits by local authorities.
- Manage and achieve the entire operation within agreed budget
Requirements
- Minimum 7 years experience in dormitory manager role
- To possess either PLRD or FSM
- To possess CERT (optional)
