Job Description: Business Analyst - AWS & Web Content

Position Overview: We are seeking two experienced Business Analysts with a focus on AWS and Web Content Management. The ideal candidates will have hands-on experience in project development lifecycles, user research, service journey mapping, and prototyping. Additionally, they will be proficient in DevOps practices, Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, and QA & Testing. These roles require expertise in AWS services and Web Content Management Systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Development & Maintenance: Engage in at least one full project development lifecycle or project maintenance, ensuring effective implementation and management of solutions.
- User Research & Prototyping: Conduct user research, create service journey maps, and develop prototypes using tools such as Figma to enhance user experience and meet business requirements.
- DevOps Practices: Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, AWS CodePipeline, or GitLab CI. Apply DevOps practices including version control, automated testing, and continuous improvement.
- QA & Testing: Oversee quality assurance processes, manage coordination with vendors, and validate solutions against business requirements to ensure high standards of quality.
- AWS & Web Content Management: Utilize Amazon Web Services (AWS) for deploying, managing, and scaling applications, including services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and CloudWatch. Experience with Web Content Management Systems (e.g., Sitecore) and Search Engine Systems (e.g., Lucidworks Fusion) is essential.
- Infrastructure as Code: Apply knowledge of IaC tools like Terraform or AWS CloudFormation for automating deployments and managing cloud resources.
- API Design & Management: Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs with an understanding of API authentication methods such as OAuth2, JWT, and API key management.
Technical Skills:
- AWS Services: Proficiency in using AWS services and understanding of AWS security best practices, including IAM roles, VPC configurations, and secure data storage.
- Web Content Management: Knowledge of Web Content Management Systems and Search Engine Systems.
- Infrastructure as Code: Familiarity with IaC tools like Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
- CI/CD Pipelines: Experience in implementing CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, AWS CodePipeline, or GitLab CI.
- Prototyping Tools: Proficiency in using prototyping tools such as Figma.
- DevOps Practices: Strong background in DevOps practices including version control, automated testing, and continuous improvement.
- QA & Testing: Experience in managing QA & Testing processes and vendor coordination.
Preferred Skills:
- Certifications: Consulting or Business Analysis certifications such as CCBA® or CBAP® are advantageous.
- Government Projects: Familiarity with government processes and cloud-based IT projects.
- Industry Best Practices: Up-to-date knowledge of product trends, best practices, and relevant technologies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 5-8 years of experience in business analysis, AWS, Web Content Management, and DevOps practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on user-centered design and business requirements.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
