Role Overview:
- As the Accounting Manager, you will drive excellence in accounting operations, oversee both local and outsourced teams, and ensure compliance with regulatory deadlines set by ACRA and IRAS. Your role involves improving processes, maintaining high-quality standards, and leading client-focused accounting teams.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and inspire accounting teams in portfolio and client-based work, ensuring high-quality delivery and client satisfaction.
- Implement best practices to enhance quality management and optimize workflows.
- Address client inquiries and provide comprehensive solutions.
- Foster a collaborative work environment with internal teams, including corporate secretarial, tax, and payroll.
- Drive process efficiency and identify growth opportunities within the department.
- Ensure accurate MAS reporting and adherence to relevant guidelines.
- Conduct training on new accounting standards for local and outsourced teams.
- Monitor and improve the quality of outsourced teams' work, ensuring adherence to strict standards.
Requirements:
- Degree in accounting or equivalent professional qualification (e.g., ACCA).
- Extensive knowledge of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS) and accounting regulations.
- Min 10 years of experience managing accounting teams, preferably with an audit background.
- Proven expertise in quality management, process enhancement, and team leadership.
- Strong leadership skills with a track record of inspiring teams.
- Ability to handle SFRS and IFRS consolidations and technical topics.
- Experience resolving complex audit issues and ensuring compliance.
- Excellent communication skills for internal and client interactions.
- Detail-oriented, deadline-driven, and self-motivated.
- Familiarity with Variable Capital Company (VCC) and fund-based accounting is a plus.
